Genuine Yam clutch cable

Postby SteveJ » Sat Mar 26, 2016 10:09 pm

Fitted a genuine yamaha clutch cable courtesy of Mr Tempest.

There is a steel sleeve at the lever end which is bent into a cranky shape and whichever way I fit the cable it's just
Not fitting sweetly.

Any advice helpful.

Thanks

I use a Yambits one which hasn't got such a sharp turn, but i have in the past straightened out the bend a bit to get clearance, have you tried re-routing the cable past the headstock to get a decent cable run?

Stick it in a vice and gradually straighten it

Mine went in the vice to lessen the curve. Dont like doing it but not found an alternative.
