I'm puzzled now :?

Fitted mine as it came in the box, and having read the above and looked at instructions I cant see how it would affect an on/off switch? As far as I can work out you turn the internal throttle cam through 180 - which makes no diff to the outside -or am I missing something ?

Jock

what a numpty - on off switch as in throttle control -

only took me a day to figure it out - doh

I found the enduance setting to have about 90 degrees of travel which I found to be more or less the same as a standard Yam throttle. In Motocross setting this is reduced to around 60 degrees, which suits me fine.

Mind you for that real authentic on/off switch feel you could always do what I did for nearly a full lap of Oulton. I was doing fine with a jammed open throttle cable just using the kill switch to turn the throttle on and off, until I needed to get back on the gas coming out of the Shell hairpin. Not quite as smooth as the rear tyre wanted! That was down to a frayed cut oil pump cable getting stuck in the junstion box and was the reason I bought a quick action throttle and cable kit.

Had this through from Goran...

Hi Marcus,

Here is a final part number revision:

Bit of Gaffer tape, couple of cable ties and it will be fine.

Does the original throttle cable fit the QA Throttle? Just wondering as mine is okay, and it might save me some cash

No it doesn't mate, you either buy the standard venhill cable, open the plastic join box on the original cable and join the 2 together or buy the ready made venhill cable which replaces the whole lot.

Paul,

This was the email from Goran from last year, try speaking to him if he's still there. The spec sheet from Venhill listing all their component part numbers is also in the downloads section as a PDF file under the Technical folder. They can use this to make a cable up. From memory, the top cable has to be routed between the tank and frame from this part list. If you want to route the cable under the frame you might want to ask them to make the top cable 5CM longer.

Cheers, Marcus,

Paul, Goran left but when I spoke to sales I had to email over the notes and they made it up for me.
